Product description

A sand pumping ship (also called a sand suction ship or dredger) is a special operation ship used for underwater sand

mining, river dredging, land reclamation and other projects. It extracts the underwater sand mixture through a powerful

pumping system and transports it to a designated location. It is widely used in water conservancy projects, port construction,

mineral mining and other fields.

Working Principle
The core of the sand pumping ship is the "sand suction pump + pipeline transportation" system

Broken mud layer: The bow is equipped with a high-pressure water gun or a rotary auger to break up the compacted sand layer on

the riverbed/seabed into flowing mud.

Pumping mud: The centrifugal mud pump generates negative pressure and extracts a mixture of mud and water (mud concentration

is usually 20%-40%) through a sand suction pipe extending into the bottom of the water.

Pipeline transportation: The mud is transported to the shore yard, sand transport ship or reclamation area through the sand discharge

pipeline, and the transportation distance can reach several kilometers (relay pump pressure is required).

Separation of mud and sand: The end is separated by a vibrating screen, cyclone or natural sedimentation to separate sand (construction

sand) and silt (for land reclamation or abandonment).

Application
River/port dredging: remove silt to ensure smooth waterways

Reservoir desilting: prevent siltation and extend the life of reservoirs
