Core working principle
Jet system
The high-pressure water pump generates high-speed water flow (pressure is usually 10-20bar) and forms a jet flow
through the nozzle.
The jet impacts the riverbed to loosen and suspend the sediment, and at the same time forms a low-pressure area
behind the water pump.
Suction system
The centrifugal sand pump uses the negative pressure generated by the jet to suck the suspended sediment through
the sand suction pipe.
The mixture of sediment and water (mud concentration is usually 20-50%) is transported to the designated area through
a pipeline.
Separation/discharge
Some ship models are equipped with cyclone separators to separate sand and water on site.
When directly discharged, it is transported to a yard 1-3km away through a floating pipe.
Application
River maintenance: remove silt to restore navigation capacity (such as 5-8m water depth maintenance of inland waterways).
Dry filling engineering: extract sea sand for artificial island construction
Mineral mining: extract riverbed/seabed gold, tin sand and other minerals.
Emergency rescue: quickly dredge siltation caused by floods.
